This Refund Policy explains when and how we issue refunds for Maria, the AI Executive Assistant operated by Tinkr Labs Private Limited ("Tinkr Labs", "we"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

New users get a 7-day free trial of Maria. During the trial, no payment is collected, even though we may ask for a payment method during sign-up. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.

At the end of the trial, if you have not cancelled, your paid subscription will start and your payment method will be charged for the first month. We will send you a reminder before this happens.

Each person is entitled to one free trial. We reserve the right to refuse a trial to anyone we reasonably suspect of abusing the trial offer (for example, by creating multiple accounts).

3. Paid subscription and billing

Maria is USD $15 per month, plus any applicable taxes (including GST where required). Billing is handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date, and your payment method is charged on that date until you cancel.

If a payment fails, we will retry it a few times over the following days. If we still cannot collect payment, your access to Maria may be suspended. If you pay the outstanding amount within 30 days, we will restore your account; after that, the account may be terminated and your data deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Two ways:

When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that, it does not renew and your payment method is no longer charged. You continue to have full access to Maria during the remainder of that period.

5. Refunds for unused time

Because Maria is billed monthly and most of our infrastructure costs are incurred during the billing period, we do not ordinarily issue partial refunds for unused days in a month you have already been billed for. Cancellation prevents future charges; it does not refund the current period.

If you believe your situation is unusual, email us at hello@tinkrlabs.ai and we will review it in good faith. We may, at our sole discretion, offer a prorated refund or account credit.

6. Service-outage refunds

If Maria is fully unavailable for a continuous period of more than 48 hours due to an issue on our side (not including outages caused by WhatsApp, Google, Twilio, Anthropic, or other upstream providers, or by causes outside our reasonable control), you may request a prorated refund for the affected time.

To request an outage refund, email hello@tinkrlabs.ai within 30 days of the outage with the approximate start and end times you observed. We will verify against our monitoring logs and, if confirmed, issue a prorated refund to your original payment method within 14 business days.

7. Disputes and chargebacks

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first so we can fix it quickly. Filing a chargeback with your bank or card network before contacting us may result in immediate account termination while the dispute is resolved.

8. Taxes

Subscription prices are quoted exclusive of taxes. Where we are required to collect GST, VAT, sales tax, or similar taxes, they will be added to your invoice. You are responsible for any withholding taxes that apply to you under local law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance through Maria, by email, or on the website. Changes will not apply retroactively to subscriptions already paid for.
